Weed Whacking Skill Progress

Updated: Jun 25, 2019

This photo was on our worker's first day learning to weed whack for our neighbors!

Over the past few weeks, two of our workers have been learning the always needed skill of weed whacking. On their first day practicing and learning weed whacking, they were taught how to hold a weed whacker properly, weed whacking safety precautions, and the proper stance and method to use when weed whacking.

Each day with only minor verbal corrections from a supervisor, they have shown significant improvement in their ability to follow instructions and implement what they have been taught. They have learned attention to detail and to take pride in work done well. They have been learning this skill through work on the farm's property and on neighboring farms and are keeping the farms looking beautiful.

They have been learning this skill through work on the farm's property and in assisting the farm's neighbors in keeping their property looking beautiful. As they continue to improve, they will have opportunities to do weed whacking jobs off-site for other farmers and in the community.

We are so proud of our workers!
